The withdrawal window is open only for a specific period; once it shuts, there’s no appeal process and no exceptions. Here’s what the 2026 schedule looks like:

• IIT seats: The withdrawal window for IIT allotments closes at the end of Round 4 on July 14, 2026, at 5:00 PM IST. Round 5 is the final IIT round, and once it opens on July 16, all IIT seats lock permanently. No exit, no refund after that point.
• NIT+ seats (NITs, IIITs, GFTIs): The last possible date to withdraw is July 20, 2026, at 5:00 PM IST. Miss it, and the full SAF is gone, no partial return, no grace period.

How to Apply for JoSAA Refund 2026: Step-by-Step Process Explained

The entire process happens online. There is no offline alternative. Follow each step carefully because errors here directly delay your refund.

Step 1: Log in
Go to josaa.nic.in and sign in with your JEE Main or JEE Advanced application number and password.

Step 2: Find the “Withdraw” option.
