About Heritage Institute of Technology Kolkata

Heritage Institute of Technology Kolkata was established in 2001 by Kalyan Bharti Trust, a charitable foundation formed by twenty-two industrialists from Kolkata. The nearest bus stop is at Ruby General Hospital on the E.M. Bypass, and the nearest railway station is Ballygunge. Heritage Institute of Technology Admission Process 2026

B.Tech admission at Heritage Institute of Technology follows the rules set by the WBJEE Board. Candidates need a Higher Secondary (10+2) pass from the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent board, along with a qualifying rank in WBJEE or JEE Main. Seats at Heritage Institute of Technology are filled in the following way:

• 80 per cent of B.Tech seats go to candidates qualified through WBJEE
• 10 per cent go to candidates qualified through JEE Main
• 10 per cent are filled under the management quota, open to candidates holding a valid WBJEE or JEE Main rank card

Heritage Institute of Technology also takes an additional intake equal to 10 percent of the approved seats through lateral entry into the second year. This route is open to diploma holders and B.Sc graduates who qualify for JELET, conducted by the WBJEE Board.
