KEAM Engineering Rank List Preparation

Check out how the KEAM rank list is prepared below:

Equal Weightage for Entrance and Qualifying Examination Scores: When preparing the engineering rank list, both the KEAM Engineering Entrance Test scores and the final-year qualifying examination scores are given equal weight. After the required processing of normalisation and standardisation, both scores are treated as 50% of the total score.

 Keam rank list

Subjects Considered for Rank Preparation: From the qualifying examination, the scores of Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry are considered. If a candidate has not studied Chemistry, then the score of Computer Science will be considered. If neither Chemistry nor Computer Science have not been studied, then the score of Biotechnology will be considered. In the absence of Chemistry, Computer Science, and Biotechnology, the score of Biology will be considered.

Conversion and Standardisation of Qualifying Examination Scores: The scores of the final-year exams in the respective Education Boards for Mathematics, Physics, and the relevant third subject are first converted to a score of 100. After the process of standardisation, the total score for the three subjects will be 300.

Standardisation Method Used for Ranking: The method for standardisation of scores used in ranking has received the approval of an Expert Committee. As a part of this process, the marks of candidates from different Boards are scientifically adjusted, for example, through the Global Mean and the Global Standard Deviation, to maintain equity within the diversity of different education systems.

Final Subjects Used for Ranking: For ranking, the final-year qualifying examination scores of Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry (or the officially designated substitutes) are considered.
