The Maharashtra State CET Cell has begun the MHT CET CAP 2026 document verification process with the commencement of the CAP registration. MHT CET CAP 2026 Document Verification Dates

The MHT CET CAT round dates are provided in Admission Notice No. 1/2026, issued by the CET Cell on July 2, 2026. MHT CET CAP 2026 document verification for eligible candidates will be conducted as per the timetable from July 3 to July 13, 2026, up to 5:00 PM. Candidates have to choose between e-scrutiny (online) or physical scrutiny (offline) modes while filling out the CAP application.

What is MHT CET Document Verification?

MHT CET CAP document verification is the process of verifying the CAP application form. The CET Cell analyzes the validity of the certificates uploaded or submitted by you and compares them with the facts provided by you during registration, such as your MHT-CET score, category, domicile, and academic records. If you do not confirm your admission, you won’t be included in the provisional/final merit list. This stage cannot be skipped or postponed.

This year, the competent authority has provided two options for completing MHT CET CAP 2026 document verification, and candidates can select one manner in filing the online application.

MHT CET CAP Document Verification via online Mode

E-Scrutiny allows candidates to do the complete MHT CET CAP 2026 document verification from home without visiting any center. This mode is for candidates who seek a speedier, contactless confirmation process.

• Online registration and scanning of the necessary original documents.
• Upload the documents from any computer or smartphone that is connected to the Internet.
• The application and documentation are uploaded for review in the E-Scrutiny Centre.
• In case no error is identified, the status will be displayed as verified, and a receipt-cum-acknowledgement will be generated in the candidate login.
• If any error is found, the application will be sent back to the candidate’s login for correction and resubmission.

MHT CET CAP Document Verification via online Mode

Physical verification is needed to attend in person at the Facilitation Center (FC) selected at the time of registration. Candidates frequently prefer this approach because they are more comfortable getting their original documents checked face-to-face.

• Arrive at your selected facilitation center within your assigned time period.
• Carry all original documents & self-attested photocopies.
• FC authorities check the documents on the scene and confirm the application form.
• On confirmation, the FC issues to the candidate a receipt cum acknowledgment.

What’s Next After Document Verification Of MHT CET CAP 2026

After the MHT CET CAP document verification window closes on July 13, the CET cell will proceed to the merit preparation step. This sequence is useful for candidates to securely follow the status of their application. 

Based on the verified applications, the CET Cell creates the provisional merit list and announces it on July 15, 2026. If any candidate finds any mistake in their provisional merit list entry, then they can lodge a grievance through their login from July 16 to July 18.

Candidates having physical scrutiny and grievances need to see the FC once again for resolution. The final merit list will be issued on 20th July, 2026, following the redressal of grievances. The authority will announce the further schedule for filling out the CAP option form and seat allotment separately.

Important Instructions for MHT CET CAP 2026 Document Verification

A few compliance points can significantly improve your chances of admission. Candidates are advised to go through these thoroughly before their verification slot.

• Applications not confirmed by the E-Scrutiny Centre or Facilitation Centre within the deadline shall be rejected/excluded from the merit list.
• Candidates belonging to the reserved category who fail to produce a valid certificate at the time of verification will be accepted under the reserved category subsequently on payment of the fee difference of ₹300 online.
• J&K and Ladakh migrant aspirants confirm their application through Sardar Patel College of Engineering, Andheri (West), Mumbai, and approach the concerned institute directly.
• Candidates who have provided merely a receipt for their caste/tribe validity or non-creamy layer/EWS certificate should upload and check the original at a scrutiny center and submit the same to the institute where they have taken admission before the final reporting date of the fourth CAP round.
• If you have opted for physical verification, the verification centers are available 7 days a week, including weekends, from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM, so schedule your visit accordingly.
