NIAT 1:1 Counselling 2025: A Useful Guide

NxtWave Institute of Advanced Technologies has collaborated with various Universities to provide upskilling programs. To get industry-ready and learn the skills, candidates need to take the NxtWave Admission-counselling Test NAT for 2025 and appear in a 1:1 counselling session conducted by NIAT. The counselling session will help students choose the right university that offers the upskilling program.

Following the NAT exam, students need to appear for the NIAT counselling process for a better understanding of the industry-ready skills that they are going to be trained in, the types of mentorship they will get, and project-based learning.

After the declaration of NAT results, soon after the exam, both the students and parents can book a campus visit to the collaborating Universities free of cost from the official website. They need to give a preferred date and time for the campus visit. 

On the visit, both the students and parents will attend the final step of a one-on-one counselling session conducted by NIAT. The session will evaluate students’ cognitive abilities, including shared passions, goals, and dreams. The parents will assess the learning environment, the security of their child, and the upskilling program structure through the counselling session. This information helps NIAT understand you better and thus helps you navigate the program smoothly. Admission decisions will be made by the respective Universities based on your performance in the NIAT counselling session.

NIAT 1:1 Counselling 2025 

After qualifying for NAT, students will have to attend a one-on-one counselling session. There will be multiple counselling sessions. Students and Parents will have separate sessions, along with the students having counselling sessions with parents. These sessions will help NIAT in understanding the goals and the vision of the students and parents. It will help them in knowing their expectations and thus discussing how it aligns with the NIAT NxtWave’s Skill Map. The students and parents will be evaluated under various factors in the NIAT counselling process 2025; some of the pointers are given below.

Points on which students will be evaluated 

Their short-term goals: During the NIAT Counselling Process 2025, the students will be asked about their short-term goals, such as the projects they wish to undertake and the topics they want to explore. For example, why are you interested in this upskilling program? What do you hope to achieve with the program? 

Long-term goals: Students must prepare and reflect on their post-program plans. The counselling session will help them understand their long-term goals that align with their skills and experiences. For example, do you want to be an entrepreneur? What top tech careers excite you the most? 

Dream Job and Company The counsellor will ask you about your Dream Company and why you want to join the company. This answer will give a clear picture of your goal in life and the type of company and work culture you are looking for. 

Hobbies and Other Activities: The counselling session will help in understanding the hobbies of students and what clubs they want to join. This will help them develop soft skills like being a team player, leadership skills, etc, among the students. 

Alignment with NIAT Culture. Finally, the session will discuss the program and the culture of NIAT. What the Institute is offering and how it aligns with their career goal. 

Students will undergo an Expectation analysis during the NIAT Counselling Process 2025 

Their goals and the skills they have, and how they can get better. What type of co-curricular activities do they prefer? What Clubs do they want to join?

The Program Expectation: The sessions for NIAT counselling process 2025 provides an opportunity to share the parents’ expectations and evaluate how NIAT’s Skill Map aligns with their child’s educational needs. This conversation will help NIAT in understanding the support a student will need in fulfilling their upskilling journey 

The Safety of Students: The student’s safety is of the utmost importance. The counselling session will give the parents an insight into the comprehensive security measures on the NIAT collaborated University campus, including 90 surveillance cameras designed to maintain a 24/7 secure learning environment. 

Alignment with NIAT Finally, the session will also help parents assess whether NIAT’s vision and educational approach align with their long-term goals for their child. A shared understanding among students, parents, and NIAT ensures a smooth academic experience.
