Additional NTA Updates and Rules Changes for JEE Mains 2025

For JEE Mains 2025, the NTA has introduced several important updates beyond the changes to the tie-breaking policy. Candidates should be aware of these new policies and procedural changes to ensure a smooth application and examination experience.

1. New Application Portal Domain: The JEE Mains 2025 application process is now hosted on a new website: jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates must use this updated portal for all official notifications, application submissions, and exam-related updates. This replaces the previous domain used in past years.

2. Revised Provisions for Candidates with Disabilities: The NTA has updated its policy on extra time for candidates with disabilities. The terms “extra time” and “additional time” are now officially referred to as “compensatory time.”

• Candidates eligible for scribes, readers, or lab assistants are now provided with at least 20 minutes of compensatory time per hour of the exam.
• Candidates with cognitive disabilities who qualify for a scribe are entitled to an extra hour for a three-hour exam, regardless of whether they actually use a scribe.
• For exams shorter than an hour, compensatory time will be calculated proportionally, with a minimum of 5 minutes awarded in multiples of 5.

3. Admit Card and Result Announcements

• Admit cards will be available three days before the exam date and can be accessed using the candidate’s registration number and date of birth.
