Important Guidelines and Precautions for JEE Mains 2026 Application Form Correction

Before making any changes during the JEE Mains Application Form 2026 Correction Window, keep these critical guidelines and precautions in mind to avoid common mistakes and ensure your application remains valid.

  1. One-Time Opportunity: The correction window is a one-time facility. Once you submit your corrections, you cannot make further changes. Double-check all modified details before final submission.
  2. Cross-Verify with Official Documents: Ensure that all corrected information, especially your name, date of birth, and academic details, matches your Class 10/12 mark sheets and government-issued ID proofs. Discrepancies can lead to disqualification or issues during admission.
  3. Aadhaar-Verified Candidates: If your application was Aadhaar-verified, specific fields like name, date of birth, and gender may be locked and non-editable. Attempting to change these may result in errors or rejection.
  4. Editable vs. Non-Editable Fields: Do not attempt to edit non-editable fields (such as mobile number, email, or photograph). Editing restricted fields can lead to form rejection.
  5. Correction Fee: Some corrections (such as changing the category or adding papers) may incur an additional fee. Make sure to pay any applicable charges to complete the correction process.
  6. Upload Documents Carefully: If re-uploading certificates, photographs, or signatures, follow the NTA’s specified format, size, and quality guidelines.
  7. Review Before Submission: Always review the entire application form after making corrections. Even minor mistakes (like spelling errors or incorrect category selection) can affect your eligibility.
  8. Print Confirmation: After submitting corrections, download and print the updated confirmation page for your records. This document will be required for future reference and at the time of admission.
  9. Avoid Last-Minute Corrections: Complete your corrections well before the deadline to avoid server issues or accidental omissions.
  10. Seek Help if Needed: If any candidates face difficulties or are unsure about any changes, they are advised to contact the NTA helpline or email support before submitting their corrections.
