Preparing for the JEE Main 2025 exam involves understanding both the do’s and don’ts for exam day to ensure a smooth and successful experience. Below are the key guidelines to help you stay focused and perform at your best on the exam, scheduled from January 22 to 30, 2025.

• Reach Early: Ensure you arrive at least 1 hour before the exam time to avoid last-minute rush.

• Carry Important Documents: You need to carry a few documents to the test center to prove your identity and to ensure there is no scope for proxies. These are the documents:
  • Admit card
  • Valid ID proof
  • Undertaking form

• Take time & Relax: Anxiousness will only do much more harm than help, so take time and relax a bit to calm your mind.

• Verify your Details: Once you are provided with the attendance details verify those details and reach out to the proctor in case of any mismatches.

 JEE Mains 2025 Exam Day Rules: Dress Code

To appear in the JEE Mains 2025 exam, candidates must adhere to some guidelines. You can refer to the section below for JEE Main 2025 Dress Code:

•  Wear simple clothes: Choose comfortable outfits without heavy designs, layers, or accessories. This helps speed up the frisking process and avoids unnecessary inconvenience at the entry gate.
• Avoid clothing with too many pockets: Any outfit with multiple pockets may lead to extra checking or suspicion of carrying prohibited items. Wearing pocket-free or minimal-pocket clothing ensures hassle-free entry.
• Do not wear jewellery or metal accessories:  Items such as rings, necklaces, earrings, bracelets, belts with large metal buckles, or smartwatches are not allowed inside the exam hall. Wearing them may cause delays and you may be asked to remove them before entry.
• Do not cover your head or face inside the exam hall:  Headscarves, caps, mufflers, or face coverings are not permitted, as they can interfere with identity verification. The face must remain visible throughout the exam for security reasons. (Religious exceptions may be allowed only after prior approval from the authorities.)
• Face masks will be provided at the exam centre: Candidates do not need to bring their own masks now. The exam staff will provide a fresh mask to ensure uniformity and hygiene before entering the hall.

 JEE Mains Guidelines 2025 for Diabetic Students

Candidates with diabetes are given relaxation regarding food and drink during the exam. They are permitted to bring certain items such as fruits (banana, apple, orange), sugar tablets, and a transparent water bottle to help manage their medical condition. However, they must not carry packaged or processed food items like chocolates, candies, or sandwiches inside the exam hall.

JEE Mains Guidelines 2025 for Exam Centre

• Ensure that candidates are not allowed inside and to leave the examination hall before the test concludes.

• Candidates coming in traditional attire are advised to arrive an hour before to complete all the security checks. 

• A pen/pencil and rough work sheet will be provided in the exam hall. Candidates must write their name and roll number at the top and return the sheet to the invigilator after the exam.

• Candidates seeking PwD reservations must bring a PwD certificate and ID proof issued by the competent authority to the exam center for the JEE Main exam.

• There are no strict dress code rules beyond the general requirements. Students can wear clothing of their choice, but items like caps, scarves/stoles, and jewelry/metallic accessories are restricted.
